About Naval Support Facility Panama City

Naval Support Activity, Panama City covers a total of 657 acres and includes 221 different buildings. The proximity of the Gulf of Mexico makes it an optimal location for littoral warfare missions as well as fleet training.

Roughly 3,000 personnel (both military and civilian) are employed by NSA. The impact on the local economy is sizeable: more than $500 million annually. This includes purchasing local goods, active construction and contracted services.

The Fleet and Family Support Center has offerings such as deployment support services, financial management counseling, clinical counseling, employment services, transition assistance programs and victim advocacy services. All of the programs and services are designed to enhance the quality of life for the NSA-PC community. Additionally, the Activity supports the 'Fitness for Life' campaign which encourages exercise and nutrition programs for the community.

Located on the Florida Panhandle, Panama City is surrounded largely by St. Andrew's Bay. Outdoor enthusiasts love the area because of its delightful climate and range of activities. It's no surprise that water sports and fishing are abundant in Panama City.

Equally abundant are the cultural activities; the city and adjacent neighborhoods boast an extensive selection of entertainment options which include the Visual Arts Center and Martin Theatre.

Take advantage of the Bay Town Trolley, which carts Panama City residents to various locations including the beach, shopping centers and medical facilities. If you are flying out of town, the Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport has service from both Southwest and Delta.
