About Naval Base Kitsap

Back in 2004, Naval Submarine Base Bangor merged with the former Naval Station Bremerton to form what is now Naval Base Kitsap. Its main purpose is to host command for the Naval fleet in Puget Sound. The base operations, including support for submarines and ships ported in Bangor and Bremerton happens here.
 
Bremerton is often touted as being one of the best places to live in America. Residents enjoy all the perks of living near a major metropolitan city like Seattle (it's only 30 minutes away by ferry) but has all the charm of a waterfront town with lots to offer in its own right.
 
With a vibrant art community, excellent school system and reasonable cost of living, Bremerton has everything to offer its residents. With spectacular water and mountain vistas it's no surprise that the city has an impressive parks system.
