Morro Bay, California is home to the United States Coast Guard Station. THe USCG provides Coast Guard services for the entire Central Coast of California, including port safety coverage for the Diablo Nuclear Power Plant, Vandenberg Air Force Base, and general search and rescue. Morro Bay is a very active tourist town known for its signature large natural "rock" at the entrance and exit of the Bay.
